Why upgrade to IQVISION from 963?
The successor to the pioneering 963 Supervisor, IQVISION integrates Trend controllers, third party smart systems and internet protocol devices into a centralised software platform. With 963 now no longer in active development, and withdrawn from sale, there has never been a better time to upgrade to IQVISION.
What's the risk?
963 is no longer in active development and was withdrawn from sale towards the end of 2019. IQVISION represents the Trend platform for the future. There are many reasons why a user may want to upgrade to IQVISION and with our migration tools and services this couldn't be easier.
Operating system support – 963 has been available since 2003 and in many cases, will be installed on operating systems that are no longer supported by Microsoft. For Operating systems, outside of the extended support patches for security fixes are no longer issued and this can leave systems vulnerable to cyber attack.

3rd party Bowser Plugin support. Most main stream browsers no longer support the JAVA applet plug in which is needed for client users to access 963 remotely. Oracle themselves have deprecated the Java plugin and want developers to stop using this technology. IE is now the only browser where the plugin will work and this may change in the future.
Over the years, it has also been identified that JAVA updates have been installed on 963 client machines, which can then cause issues. So, security, stability, customer feedback and long term support are all reasons why we have moved away from this technology.
What is the benefit of Upgrading to IQ Vision NOW?
The 963 to IQ™VISION Upgrade Scheme has been a great way for customers to upgrade to our leading Supervisor IQ™VISION. Many of our customers using 963 have already taken advantage of the benefits of IQVISION, including comprehensive compatibility with mobile devices, or by working with their Partner to create a superior visualisation solution.
During 2019 and 2020 we have offered a lower IQ™VISION price to customers upgrading 963’s, but this scheme will end on the 31st March 2021.
